Hi & Welcome!
I’m Chris Parramore and I’m so excited you’ve found my blog! I love to talk about all things healthy for the mind, body, and soul. It’s my hope to encourage and inspire other women with tips for self-care and ways to live happy, healthy lives. I believe if mom is living her best life, she can better nurture and care for her family!
I’m a Texas gal and married the love of my life 40 years ago. We’ve had a wonderful, busy life raising three children, and are now enjoying our three beautiful grandchildren. I’m passionate about my faith, family, friends, and all things healthy for the body, mind, and soul!
After getting married, we lived on a shoestring budget for years so that I could be a “stay at home” mom while our kids were young. That time was priceless to me and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. When all the kids were in school, I went back to school myself and pursued a big dream. For the next 3 years, I worked on getting my BS in Early Childhood and my teaching certificate in Elementary Education. Life was super busy and time management was a juggling act at times.
I then went on to teach kindergarten and first grade for over twenty years. It was a job I truly loved and was passionate about. I love helping kids learn and grow in all areas of their lives. Teaching and building lasting relationships with my students over the years have been one of the joys of my life. A few a years ago I retired from my teaching career so that I would be more available to enjoy and help with my grandkids.
When our oldest daughter was 18, and had just started college, she had a tragic accident that took her life. It was devastating for our family and some years of depression followed. My health was on the back burner and I gained weight and really didn’t take care of myself. After some health challenges came up, I made a concentrated effort to make my health a priority and get fit. I also came to realize how important a positive mindset was for a healthy body and outlook on life.
I’m also now actively pursuing other interests, including enjoying being a lifestyle blogger and working as an entreprenuer. All my life I’ve loved reading and writing and filled up tons of journals over the years. I have a deep love for God and enjoy reading inspirational books. I also love self-help books and learning about new things. I intentionally work to nourish my body, mind, and soul every day. It is my desire to share about my own health, wellness, and mindset journey, give tips for self-care, and ways to live healthy, happy, and positive lives as we balance our juggle our busy days.

P.S. I recently lost my 36 year old son tragically, and find myself once again working my way through grief. My faith strengthens me in this journey and I know I will not fall into depression and self-pity again. I am here to help and encourage you, as well as care for myself and family.
